SKIN MOISTURISER

                                          Hello beautiful😊

Did you know?

Our beautiful skin needs a quench of moisture as much as we do need water. Once we deny our skin of a moisturiser it loses its protective ability and becomes dry.

It is very important to moisturise your skin frequently and it is a must.

Moisturising is an ideal for improving the skin’s immune response, skin healing and repair any damage on your skin, act as a barrier against environmental influences and create healthy skin cells.

A good moisturizer contains antioxidants, skin identical ingredients and cell communicating ingredients. It makes your skin soft and smooth and keeps your skin well hydrated.

Best moisturiser for my skin type

Firstly, it is very important to know your skin type before considering the best moisturiser to soothe on your unique skin. The best moisturizer always leaves your skin supple, moist and enhances comfort.

Dry to very dry skin

You can only give your dry skin the lubricant it desires by making sure the moisturiser you use has the following ingredients

Shea butter, cocoa butter, petrolatum, plant oils, mineral oils and fatty acids like lanolin and mink, benzoates, palmitates and triglycerides.
These ingredients are called emollients. Emollients enhances the ability of your skin to keep moisture thereby reducing water evaporating from your skin. They also keep your skin soft, non-greasy and smooth.

Normal to oily skin

You might be wondering which type of a moisturiser to use for your normal to oily skin,
because its neither oily nor dry.
Well, a water based or very light fluid or serum type products containing antioxidants, cell communicating ingredients and skin identical ingredients, are good for you.

Antioxidants fights against radicals caused by air pollution, ultra violet rays, smoking to name but a few. Examples of antioxidants are; soy extract, alpha lipoic, turmeric, grape seed extract, green tea, pomegranate, beta carotene and all forms of vitamins A, C and E

Cell communicating ingredients helps the skin to function better and more normally. Examples of cell communicating ingredients are, retinoic acid, carnosine, lecithin, linolenic acid, adenosine triphosphate, retinol,  eicosapentaenoic acid, palmitoyl oligopeptide, carnitine, niacinamide

Skin identical ingredients - these ingredients are identical to your skin as the name suggests 'skin identical ingredients'. Examples of skin identical ingredients are cholesterol, ceramides, fatty acids, amino acids, glycerine, to name but a few.

Always remember, the best moisturiser contains antioxidants, skin identical ingredients and cell communicating ingredients despite your skin type.

                                                     Hugs!😊
