SKIN WRINKLES (ANTI-AGING TIPS)

Facial expressionsrepetitive facial movements such as smiling, raising your eyebrows and frowning causes facial wrinkles because a groove forms under the skin surface whenever we make these facial expressions. These grooves become permanent as our skin age and loses its elasticity
 


Habitual sleeping positionthese appear because of a repeatedly sleeping position. It happens when your face is compressed against a pillow.

Aging

Smoking it is well known that nicotine in cigarettes is a very dangerous substance to your health. It reduces the width of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of your skin which transport blood to your skin. This means that your outer skin won’t receive enough oxygenated blood and important nutrients such as vitamin A.

Sun damageNot only does ultra-violate rays from the sun cause skin cancer and sunburns, it also results in premature ageing.

Areas where wrinkles are visible


On the forehead   - These are horizontal lines between the eye brows. These are a result of facial expressions.

Outer corner of the eyes (laughter lines)  - These are easily noticed because the skin on the outer corner of the eyes is very thin hence it is prone to lining.

From the nose to the mouth (nasolabial folds)  - These are fine lines between your nose and your upper lip.

All over the face  -These appear as we age because of a reduction in elasticity



Solutions to wrinkles

Regular use of sunscreen (with SPF 15) to protect your skin against sun damage.
Also, some creams make your skin more sensitive to the sun hence its always important to trust a sunscreen as your shield for the day.
Exfoliate regularly to remove a build-up of dead skin cells which increase the appearance of fine lines on your skin
Botox  paralyses muscle movement thereby preventing the formation of skin ageing or wrinkles where it is injected
Control blood sugar levels  by reducing the number of sugary items, you consume.
Always drink enough water to keep your skin well hydrated, soft and youthful. 



Natural effective ways of reducing wrinkles


1. Aloe Vera

    This miraculous medicinal plant is rich in malic acid which improve skin elasticity



What you need

Fresh aloe Vera gel

What you must do

Apply this fresh gel onto your skin
Leave it for about 15 minutes and rinse off





2.  Egg whites

Egg whites help to tighten, tone and reduce skin pore size by minimising excess oil secretion (sebium).

What you need

1 or 2 egg whites

Method

Beat these egg whites in a small bowel until frothy
Gentle Massage onto your skin
Leave it on for about 15 minutes
Gently Rinse off with warm water


3.  Olive oil


Olive oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamin A and vitamin E. It was first used by the Egyptians some centuries ago as a moisturiser.
Olive oil makes your skin soft and supple


What you need

2 drops of olive oil

Method

Gentle massage the olive oil onto your skin before your go to bed
Rinse off with warm water the following morning


4.  Lemon juice


Lemon contains L- ascorbic acid which help to brightens your skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles

What you need

Lemon juice

What you must do
Gentle massage the juice onto your skin





5.  Carrots        

Carrots contain anti-oxidants, potassium and carotenoids which gives you a youthful health skin, prevent wrinkles and keep your skin well hydrated.

What you need

Carrot paste

What you must do

Boil some carrots
blend them into a paste with honey
apply the paste onto your face for 30 minutes
rinse off


6.  banana mask


Vitamin A will fade away the dark masks and blemishes, vitamin E prevents aging while potassium moisturises and hydrates your skin

what you need

1 banana
1 teaspoon of orange juice
1 teaspoon of plain yoghurt

What you must do

Blend well all the ingredients.
Apply the mixture onto your face and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes


7.  Invest in pillow case made of satin or silk 

Satin or silk pillowcases are well recommended for your skin because they reduce persistent pulling (friction) which later on leads to permanent fine lines on your face (wrinkles).
