HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN TYPE?
Hello gorgeous 😊
Have you realised the depth of information on skincare, from magazines, newspapers, dermatologists, cosmetics sales people, just to mention but a few?
It just feels so and so complicated to take care of your skin.
Every single day you come across different conflicting skincare information from different sources such as magazines, cosmetics sales people, dermatologists, herbalists all you can name it. At the end of the day it becomes so and so confusing.
But if you to think of it there are only seven skincare basics
namely; cleaning your skin, removing make up, toning, exfoliating,
moisturising, sun screening and facial masks.
Cleaning your skin
The first step is to clean your skin using gentle cleansing products suitable for your skin type. Use a gentle water-soluble cleanser which
neither leaves your skin too dry or greasy.
Using a water-soluble cleanser reduces potential sagging
especially around the eye area and you guaranteed of a complete make up removal.
How to identify the
best water-soluble cleanser
- Removes each trace of make up without leaving your skin either dry or greasy
- Should have a softening or soothing effect to a dry skin and more thorough cleansing to an oily and combination skin.
Cleansing directions
Firstly, wash your hands it is essential and splash tepid
water on your face, please do it gentle. Afterwards gentle massage your
cleanser in circles on your face. You can now rinse your face. If you notice
any make up traces or oiliness do repeat the process.
Removing make up
It is very essential to remove make up before bed to avoid
clogged pores and causing skin irritation. Wiping your makeup should be
approached with gentle care, do avoid pulling your skin up, down or sideways to
avoid sagging.
The next time you stand in front of a mirror wiping off your
make up please make sure your skin doesn’t move sideways or up or down, if it
does please do consider using a water-soluble cleanser.
Instead of a scrub prefer using a washcloth in aggregation
with a cleanser because it is very gentle on your skin.
If you wear a waterproof makeup you could consider using a wipe
off, make up remover before using a water-soluble cleanser. Please be gentle on
your skin during this process.

Toning
Toning leaves your
skin feeling soft, smooth, moisturised and removes any traces of makeup and
oiliness left behind.
After cleaning your
skin do soak a cotton ball with a toner and stroke your face gently.
Exfoliating
Exfoliation is a key component to a healthy-looking skin. It is
important for all skin types and its as basic as a cleanser. Exfoliating is essential for removing dead skin cells while
revealing a younger beautiful skin, enhancing blood circulation, unclogging
skin pores, reduces blackheads and blemishes.
It is very important to moisturise your skin frequently and it is a must. Moisturising is an ideal for improving the skin’s immune response, skin healing and repair any damage on your skin, act as a barrier against environmental influences and create healthy skin cells. A good moisturizer contains antioxidants, skin identical ingredients and cell communicating ingredients. It makes your skin soft and smooth and keeps your skin well hydrated.
